I tried the compatibilty mode for Win 8 and Win 7, I deinstalled the driver and tried every variation. Of course there is no compatibility setting there to change. Hope this information is helpful. I went looking for the ‘setup file’ for the driver and all I was able to atgeros was the driver itself which is in ‘C: Or do I have to downgrade back to Win 7? Did you make any changes on the computer prior to this issue?

You can athdros protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number. I have the same question Could you suggest where one might find this setup file? Other computers with Win 7 are woking at the same ethernet cable.
